Our Fees

Leader in resolving complex UK immigration And nationality law matters.

Our Fees

At Legafit Solicitors we pride ourselves on being client centric. Our client centric approach is
reflected in everything we do including our fees. We believe that our clients deserve to
know the costs associated with their legal work, and we do all we can to ensure that they
have control over how they pay and when they pay.

Fixed Fees

That’s why we offer our clients fixed fee quotes relating to most of services so that they
have certainty in relation to costs.

At the very outset, your immigration lawyer will speak to you in detail to understand your
objectives and reach an agreement with you both in relation to the scope of work and the
timeframe within which the work will be carried out. Once we know the scope of the work
that needs to be carried out and when it needs to be completed by, we will offer you a
number of fixed fee options to choose from that will cover the work that needs to be carried
out.

Once we agree a fixed fee with you, it is your responsibility to provide us with the necessary
information and supporting documentation to carry out the agreed scope of work within the
agreed timeframe. If the agreed scope of work or the agreed timeframe changes for reasons
beyond our control, we will agree a revised fixed fee after a discussion with you.

There are some matters, however, where due to the complexity of issues involved and the
uncertainty relating to the amount of time required to bring them to a close, it may not be
possible to offer fixed fee quotes. In these instances, we divide the work into separate
milestones and offer fixed fee quotes in relation each milestone. We believe this provides
our client with transparency over how costs are calculated whilst also providing them the
certainty of knowing what the overall costs will be.

Competitive Fees

We offer very competitive fees to all our clients. We have adapted our approach to handling
client matters with the use of technology to ensure that we continuously reduce our own
fixed costs with a view to passing on the savings to our clients. We continue to explore ways
in which we can reduce our own expenses so that we can offer lower fees to our clients.

Most Expenses Included

When we agree fees in relation to your work, we incorporate as much of the expenses
associated with the completion of the work as possible within the agreed fees. For example,
we do not charge separately for telephone calls, photocopying, printing, document storage
or posting.

Please note, however, that where additional expenses are incurred outside of the agreed
scope of work or as a result of special requests made by our clients, we will charge
separately for those expenses.

Any costs arising from the handling of your matter that are payable to third parties (also
known as disbursements) are not included in our fees and will need to be paid separately.
These costs include, but are not limited to, Home Office Application fees, HIS fees, Court
and Tribunal fees, expert fees, interpreting/ translation fees and travel fees (where travel is
requested by the client).

VAT

Please note that all fee indicated below are exclusive of VAT. VAT is added at a rate of 20%
where VAT is applicable by law.

Who Will carry Out the Work?

Once you have confirmed instructions, you will be informed via our client care letter which
of our lawyers will be handling your matter and whom they will be supervised by. All the
work carried out will be subject to the strict supervision of the Principal Solicitor and
Supervisor.

OUR PROFESSIONAL FEES

Application Preparation and Submission

As a specialist immigration law firm, we deliver high quality advice and legal representation
by customising our approach to every case. No two cases are the same and we firmly
believe that each case should be assigned its own strategy and plan of action. As a result,
our professional fees for assisting with the preparation and submission of UK Visa
applications varies from case to case.

As each case is different and requires a tailored plan of action and strategy, we can only
provide a guide in terms of what our legal professional fees would be. Once we have
discussed your case with you in detail, we will then be in a position to provide you with a
final quote.

Factors that can increase or decrease the fees you are quoted include:

  • The seniority of the immigration lawyer handling your case;
  • The number of applicants and dependent applicants applying;
  • The level of complexity of the legal issues involved in resolving your case;
  • The volume of supporting documentary evidence in support of the application;
  • The complexity and length of witness statements (where applicable);
  • The timeframe for completing the work required;
  • Whether the application is being submitted via standard service, priority service,
    super priority service or VIP;
  • Whether we have been instructed in relation to an earlier application.

We accept payment in advance or by instalments. Where payment is being made by
instalments, we will agree with you an instalment plan so that each instalment is paid on the
agreed date. Please note that all instalments must be completed before the submission of
your application or before the enrolment of your biometrics.
